Growing up I was told that I should be many different things.
My mom told me to be a lawyer, my stepdad said to be a teacher and my dad and aunt both said I should be a police officer.
Of course I wanted to be all those things. And now I am.
Journalism isn’t just about writing. It’s not just about telling stories. It’s more than that.
A journalist is a teacher, a lawyer, a cop and many other things.
Journalists teach, they fight for what’s right and they protect the truth, they’re the watch dog in any community.
Journalists may always be in your face, but there’s a method behind the madness.
There isn’t anything else in the world that I’d rather do. Nothing realistic anyway.
